A favorite of ours, we took my sister and brother-in-law to celebrate my birthday. We enjoyed a few oysters from the happy hour menu along with wine and they were tasty! The happy hour menu is good with a few dollars off selected appetizers and drinks. Our waitress was sweet but I think she was a little overwhelmed, as there appeared to only be a couple wait people on staff. Our entrees did not disappoint. My husband had the ciopino which is my favorite and I decided to try the spicy seafood pasta. As usual the ciopino was delicious, full of seafood and delicious mildly spiced broth. A couple slices of toasted bread were also served to sop up that delicious broth. My pasta was nicely spiced and also loaded with shrimp, muscles, clams and other seafood. It was a very generous portion of which I could not finish. For me it's just a little too much cream sauce, I think I prefer the broth of the ciopino. My sister has the seared ahi tuna and it was perfectly seared and tasty. My brother-in-law had the gumbo, which was fabulous. You can get it spiced up if you'd like. For my birthday they brought my choice of dessert which was so sweet, I chose the ice cream with chocolate sauce. A great evening was had by all.

Came here last week for my brother in law's birthday dinner. We had a group of 8 and sat in a large booth. The atmosphere is really nice, service was excellent and most importantly, food was great! We loved the ceviche, Brussels sprouts and calamari for appetizers and the portion size was great for sharing. I got the linguine and clams for my entree. Really good and flavorful.

Sorry about no photos with this review but... Came with some friends for dinner. I arrived first and was told it would be an hour wait unless we wanted to sit outside (it's like 106 degrees) or at the "bar top". So I said ok, bar top works...and was told to head back towards the bar. I walked back to the bar area and spied an open what I thought was "a bar top table" so sat down. After a couple of minutes, friends arrived and we settled in only to be told, by I think a manager?, that the table was reserved and we could get on the list for the hour wait. I was confused and asked about being told that open "bar tops" were available and he said, as he pointed towards the bar, that was what I was told. Apologized and we picked up and went back up to the front desk. I mentioned to the ladies standing there that it might be a bit better to explain "bar top" in case people, like this old lady, doesn't connect it with bar height tables. Anyway...not knocking any start down because after we went on the list and sat for maybe 15 minutes, we were sat at a table. Jaren was our server and he shared the specials for the night...one thing I appreciate about this place and of course, Jaren, is that when he went over the two specials, he let you know how much each dish was. Many times, the server gives you the specials but doesn't tell you how much so it's a surprise! My one friend stuck with her favorite, the Chilian Sea Bass; other friend had clam chowder, and I got my favorite crab cake...one of the best because it is full of crab! I also ordered a loaf of the wonderful sourdough, so tangy and soft with that delectable tuggy crust! The best bread! And I also had a cup of the clam chowder. Their dishes are always fresh, house made, and cooked perfectly. It is a bit pricey but you are also paying for great quality food. We love High Tide!

I am making this review with great disappointment. Me and my family frequent. This restaurant may be once a week at the least once every other week one of our favorite spots great menu good staff great atmosphere. This visit was very disappointing in the fact that in our reservation, we noted that it was me and my wife's 26th wedding anniversary that we were celebrating with our family. There was no acknowledgment of this celebration. The waiter kept blowing it off like oh well good good for you guys good for you guys you know with no regard, meanwhile I am steady hearing birthday celebrations and birthday songs being sang to people at their tables. I didn't say anything the entire dinner didn't say anything when we got the check. I waited until I paid the bill in full and then asked the manager to come over after everything was bagged up and we were leaving out to express to him How disappointed I was in the fact that it wasn't even a courtesy, dessert or any type of, courtesy extended for our celebration. He went on to say that he didn't know he didn't see the happy anniversary sign on the table, but as I told him regardless, I did feel he should know because he was the manager and he had come over to the table once or twice to find a food issue, our server knew and no attempt to make the celebration feel special. And I also let him know this was not for us to get a free dessert we could pay for dessert, but it's just the fact that it was no courtesy extended to us on top of the amount of time and the amount of money that we spend in this restaurant mind you when we go our bill is never any less than $200 or $300, so I feel some kind away. I am very disappointed and contemplating if I will be taking this off of our list. The owner Chris got in touch with me after my terrible visit. He Expressed his heartfelt apologies. He offered me to come back in which he would give me a gift card for me and my family to celebrate the correct way . We did make our way back and everything was over the top as always, my faith is restored and one of my favorite spots and I can't wait to go back soon. Thank you Chris. You were great.

We came to High Tide for happy hour and it was packed. We had a reservation, but we Said they could give our table to someone ordering dinner and we would sit at the bar. The restaurant is quite large, and the bar area has all high top tables Our server was very helpful-- when we ordered the ceviche, she let us know that their ceviche is a little different from most, and offered to bring us a sample. That was much appreciated! We ordered ahi poke tostada's (yummmm), fried Calamari, and ceviche. Along with our cocktails, we left with full bellies!

Pretty decent Happy Hour menu along with an extensive wine list that go well with oysters and other raw seafood they offer. I definitely recommend not just getting their "Happy Hour" oysters as those are pretty subpar. However, some of the other options for raw oysters were quite delicious in my opinion (and I've had fresh oysters straight from the Puget Sound in Seattle). Definitely order their Scallops on the half shell (comes in 1/2 dozen). Steamed black mussels on their Happy Hour menu is also good, I ordered this with a side of their Parmesan risotto my first time here. My second visit here was last night after I decided to stop working early. Had a glass of their Pinot Noir from Oregon (best Pinot Noir grapes grown in that region) to start along with the order of their raw scallops on the half shell (half dozen). Bomb diggity. I got hungrier after that first 9 oz glass of wine so I ended up getting a carb off their Happy Hour menu - crab cheesy bread, which was delicious! But the even more delicious combo was their Wedge salad and I added their garlic shrimp as my protein...the bleu cheese dressing is orgasmic! Definitely my seafood go-to spot for Happy Hour. Wedge salad with garlic shrimp added (blue cheese dressing was bomb) Crab cheesy bread
